Rear emergency exit stairs · Type C school buses
Your evacuation plan gets students to the rear emergency door. EvacuStep addresses the next part of the exit: getting from the bus to the ground.
Stored behind the rear bumper. Automatically deployed when the rear emergency door opens. No manual release needed for deployment.

01 / Operation
The patent-pending EvacuStep system uses two electric motors to deploy and retract the stairs.
Opening the rear emergency door activates the stair system.
The assembly moves out from behind the bumper, then extends toward the ground. Full deployment takes 13 seconds from door opening.
The stairs deploy without anyone operating the release handles. Manual unlocking is needed only before powered retraction.
